Servitenkirche Vienna – Cleaning of the Altars in the Main Nave and Restoration in the Peregrini Chapel
← To project overview
In the main nave of the church, conservative dry cleaning was carried out on several Baroque side altars (including the Altar of St. Sebastian and the Altar of the Sorrowful Mother) without interventions in the original polychromy. In the Peregrini Chapel, however, more extensive restoration measures were undertaken, including the cleaning and consolidation of polychrome wooden surfaces, the stabilization of sculptures and their accessories, the conservation treatment of the richly inlaid door, and the consolidation and supplementation of the Baroque confessional.
